Zaniflex

Were you looking for information about Zanaflex? Zaniflex is a common misspelling of Zanaflex.

Zanaflex® (tizanidine hydrochloride) is a spasticity drug that is available only by prescription. Because the effects of this product last only a few hours, your dosages should be reserved for daily activities when spasticity control is most important. Common side effects include tiredness, drowsiness, and dry mouth. This medication comes in the following strengths and forms:

  • 2-mg capsules
  • 4-mg capsules and tablets
  • 6-mg capsules.

The 2-mg tablets were once available as a brand-name medication, but the manufacturer stopped making them. Generic versions of the 2-mg tablets are still available.
