tizanidine hydrochloride) is a prescription medication used to treat spasticity. This short-acting medication lasts between three and six hours, and is available in the form of a tablet or a capsule. Zanaflex capsules (2 mg, 4 mg, and 6 mg) are only available in brand-name form; however, you can buy generic versions of Zanaflex tablets (2 mg and 4 mg). This drug is usually taken as needed, up to a maximum of three times a day.
Common side effects seen with this medication include weakness, fatigue, dry mouth, and tiredness. Before starting treatment, it's important to tell your healthcare provider if you have a slow heart rate, low
blood pressure, or any
