Ultracet Side Effects

Serious Side Effects

Some side effects with Ultracet, while occurring infrequently, are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include, but are not limited to:
 

 

    • Yellowing of the whites of the eyes or skin (jaundice)
    • Upper-right abdominal pain (stomach pain)
    • Dark urine

 

  • Very severe constipation
  • Depression
  • Hallucinations or paranoia
  • Slow or irregular breathing
  • Severe drowsiness or loss of consciousness
  • The urge to take more Ultracet than prescribed or for a non-medical purpose
  • Loss of balance or falling
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:

 

    • An unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Swelling of the mouth or throat
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing.

 

Rare Ultracet Side Effects

There are rare side effects that can occur with this drug. In studies, these side effects occurred in less than 1 percent of people taking Ultracet. For these side effects, it is difficult to tell whether they are actually caused by Ultracet or something else.
