Who Should Not Take Soma?

You should not take Soma if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Soma, carisoprodol, or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients. Also, you should not take Soma if you are allergic to carbamate medications such as meprobamate (Miltown®).

 

  • Have acute intermittent porphyria.
