Soma Interactions

Certain Antidepressants
The liver metabolizes Soma into meprobamate, a different drug with anti-anxiety properties. Some antidepressants inhibit this process, increasing the level of Soma and decreasing the level of meprobamate in the blood. It is not known how these interactions might change the effectiveness or side effects of Soma.
 
Certain Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs)

Narcotics or Opiates
Combining an opiate or narcotic with Soma can increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may occur. Make sure to talk to your healthcare provider before taking Soma with an opiate or narcotic.
