Orally Disintegrating Tramadol Dosage

Orally Disintegrating Tramadol Dosage for Special Situations

If you have significant kidney dysfunction, the maximum recommended dosage of orally disintegrating tramadol is 100 mg every 12 hours. Dialysis does not remove much of this medication from the blood, so you can take your normal dose on dialysis days.

If you have cirrhosis of the liver, the maximum recommended orally disintegrating tramadol dose is 50 mg every 12 hours.

If you are over 65 years of age, your healthcare provider should start with a low dosage of orally disintegrating tramadol and increase it with caution. If you are over 75 years old, the maximum recommended amount is 300 mg total per day.
