Drug Interactions With Orally Disintegrating Tramadol

When orally disintegrating tramadol is combined with certain drugs, interactions can occur. For example, adverse reactions are possible when the pain medicine is taken with St. John's wort, sibutramine, or warfarin, to name a few. Interactions can increase your risk of potentially serious problems, such as memory loss, extreme drowsiness, and seizures, so make sure your doctor knows about all of your medications before starting treatment.

 Orally disintegrating tramadol (Rybix™ ODT) is a prescription pain medication that can potentially interact with a number of other drugs, particularly other medications that cause sedation or that affect serotonin, an important neurotransmitter.
