Morphine Sulfate 30 mg Tablets

If you need a short-acting, immediate-release pain reliever, your healthcare provider may prescribe morphine sulfate 30 mg tablets. Morphine sulfate is an opioid narcotic found in many prescription pain medications. There are several types of morphine sulfate products available, including morphine tablets and capsules (long-acting forms), immediate-release forms (tablets and oral solution), an oral solution, and various different forms for injection.
 
Short-acting, immediate-release morphine comes only in generic form and is available in the following forms and strengths:
 
  • Morphine sulfate oral solution 10 mg per 5 mL (10 mg per teaspoonful)
  • Morphine sulfate oral solution 20 mg per 5 mL (20 mg per teaspoonful)
  • Morphine sulfate 15 mg tablets
