Morphine Sulfate 15 mg Tablets

A healthcare provider may prescribe morphine sulfate 15 mg tablets to help relieve pain. Morphine sulfate is an active ingredient used in several prescription pain medications. There are several types of morphine sulfate products available, including morphine tablets and capsules (long-acting forms), immediate-release forms (tablets and oral solution), an oral solution, and various different forms for injection.
 
Short-acting, immediate-release morphine comes only in generic form and is available in the following forms and strengths:
 
  • Morphine sulfate 15 mg tablets
  • Morphine sulfate 30 mg tablets
  • Morphine sulfate oral solution 10 mg per 5 mL (10 mg per teaspoonful)
  • Morphine sulfate oral solution 20 mg per 5 mL (20 mg per teaspoonful).
