Hydrocodone can potentially interact with a number of other medications, including sleep medicines, antihistamines, and other narcotics. Many people may wonder if there is a negative interaction between hydrocodone and Wellbutrin® (bupropion hydrochloride).
Wellbutrin is an antidepressant. Combining an antidepressant with hydrocodone could increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Serious side effects may also occur. You should talk to your healthcare provider before taking hydrocodone with an antidepressant, as you may need to be monitored more closely and the dose of your medications may need to be adjusted.
