Hydrocodne

Hydrocodone is a prescription narcotic that is used in various different pain and cough medications. It acts similarly to codeine and works by binding to opioid receptors in the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord). Hydrocodone is always combined with at least one other active ingredient; it is not available by itself. The most commonly prescribed combinations contain acetaminophen.
