Flexeril® can be given to adults and adolescents (age 15 and older) who have muscle spasms due to injuries, overuse, or similar problems. However, the drug is not helpful for muscle spasms that are the result of problems in the brain or spinal cord, such as cerebral palsy. Flexeril comes in tablet form and is typically taken three times a day for two to three weeks.
