Fentanyl Patch 25 Mcg/hr

People with moderate-to-severe chronic pain may find relief with the
fentanyl patch (Duragesic®). This prescription medication is approved for use in adults and children (age two and older), and should only be used in people who do not find adequate pain relief with other medications. It is also important that you are accustomed to the effects of opioid medications before using this opioid skin patch.

Several factors, such as other pain medications you have taken and other medical conditions you may have, can affect your particular dosage of the fentanyl patch. This patch is applied to the skin every 72 hours and provides around-the-clock (continuous) pain relief. For instance, if a healthcare provider starts you with 25-mcg/hour fentanyl patches, this means that each patch releases 25 mcg of fentanyl every hour for 72 hours.
