Fentanyl Patch 100 Mcg/h

The fentanyl patch (Duragesic®) is used to treat moderate-to-severe chronic pain. This medicated patch contains a strong, long-acting prescription opioid narcotic and is available in five strengths, including:
  • Fentanyl patch 12.5 mcg per hour
  • Fentanyl patch 25 mcg per hour
  • Fentanyl patch 50 mcg per hour
  • Fentanyl patch 75 mcg per hour
  • Fentanyl patch 100 mcg per hour.
Your healthcare provider will consider several factors when determining an appropriate dosage. Some of these factors include the type and severity of your pain, other medications you are taking, and other medical conditions you may have. To help avoid dangerous side effects, it is best to underestimate the dose initially, and slowly increase it if necessary.
Each fentanyl patch is worn continuously for three days (72 hours). After three days, a new patch is applied to a different skin site.
